Two Days

I see two days.
Each one reveals its own.

The sun casts shadows across the ground.
Each day and day again,
moving across the ground.

Each day and day again drinking in visions.
The sun casts shadows across the ground.

Under a blanket of snow sleeps a mystery.
Laying quietly beneath a white carpet.
The sun casts shadows across the ground.

Paths of travelers stretch out across the snow.
Travelers come and travelers go not seeing
the mystery laying beneath the snow.

As the sun rises and falls casting shadows across the ground.
Day after day the blanket of snow yields and fades away.

With the rising of a new sun shadows cast across the ground,
revealing the mystery that awaits beneath the snow.

Life springs forth a new day,
when shadows are cast across the ground.

From that which sleeps comes the spring of life to be.
From a time of sleep and shadows across the ground
comes a new, a fresh day with shadows across the ground.

Budding forth the green of spring fresh and new.
As the sun casts shadows across the ground.
