Joseph Furbish-1

Joseph Furbish was the son of Daniel Furbish and Dorothy Pray. Joseph was born abt. 1710, and died 5 April 1795.

Joseph married Elizabeth Meads, daughter of Benjamin and Judith (Lord) Meads, May 20, 1734. The family lived in Berwick.

Children of Joseph Furbish and Elizabeth Meads:

i.	Joseph Furbish-2, was born 17 July 1735 in Eliot, Maine, he was baptized 12 June 1737 and died in 1808 at about 71 years of age. He married (1) Hannah Stacey on 17 December 1769 in Berwick, Maine. Hannah was the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Tidy) Stacy, she died 12 May 1773. (2) Sarah Ferguson on 28 September 1775. Sarah was the daughter of James Ferguson.
ii.	Meads Furbish, was baptized 12 June 1737 and he died 8 July 1758. He was in reportedly killed in battle (French and Indian War).
iii.	David Furbish, was baptized 16 September 1744, married Lydia Stacy on 16 December 1773. Lydia the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Tidy) Stacy, was born 17 March 1749.
iv.	Dorcas Furbish, was baptized: 20 March 1746/47at Berwick, Maine.
v.	Eunice Furbish, was baptized: 14 May 1749. She married Simon Frost on 24 April 1770. Simon was the son of Charles and Sarah (Pepperell) Frost. He was born 21 June 1749, and died in 1816 at Parsonfield, Maine. Simon enlisted 10 July 1775 and was a Sergeant of Captain J. Shapleigh's Company; Massachusetts State Troop of Coast Guards. He was discharged 31 December 1775. He was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant 21 March 1780 of the Fourth Company Militia.
vi.	Daniel Furbish, was baptized: 6 August 1749 at Berwick, Maine. He married Dorcas Libby, 27 December 1770. Daniel died 12 April 1793 at Lebanon, Maine.
vii.	Abigail Furbish, was born 12 April 1751.
viii.	Tobias Furbish, was baptized 30 September 1755 at Berwick, Maine. Tobias died 6 April 1818.
ix.	Hannah Furbish, was baptized 5 August 1773.
x.	Meads Furbish was born about 1758. He married Mary Goold, 15 March 1788. Mary born 15 March 1788, was the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Goold. Meads died 17 April 1819 at Kittery, Maine.
