I do not know the author of these words. However, they speak a truth that has
roots in God's word. Our heavenly Father has given to us great blessings and has
imparted much wisdom through the revelation of the Scriptures.
I believe there is great meaning in this; for the future belongs to today's
youth. As parents, a determination to share proper instruction and example with
our children in love needs to be rooted in the knowledge that our children will
be tomorrow's leaders.
As children of God, we are to be responsible for our response to His
instructions concerning life and godliness.
2 Pet 1:2-4 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God
and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life
and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and
goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so
that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the
corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (NIV)
2 Tim 3:14-17 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become
convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from
infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for
salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)
